Dental Clinic Hanoi: Licensed Clinics for Australians (2026)
Dental clinic Hanoi checks start at one official record: the Hanoi Department of Health register. Its lookup shows each medical facility with a name, a licence number and a status. Vietnam's Law 15/2023 says a facility may operate only after it has been granted an operating licence. This page shows how to run that check. It gives three entries as the register states them. It also sets out what the law says about prices and language. Australians get their own section, from Smartraveller and the Australian Dental Association.
Short answer
- Where do I check a Hanoi dental clinic?
- On the Hanoi Department of Health lookup at suckhoethudo.vn, in the medical facilities group CƠ SỞ CHỮA BỆNH. Search by name. Each entry shows a licence number and a status. There is no dental filter.
- What does the law require?
- An operating licence first (Law 15/2023/QH15, Article 49(1)). The same law bans a facility from providing care with no licence, or while its operation is suspended (Article 7(15)).
- Will staff speak English?
- Not by law. Care is given in Vietnamese unless an exception applies (Article 21(1)). The US State Department says medical staff may speak little or no English.
- What does it cost?
- We found no official price for dental work in Hanoi. The law says facilities must post their prices, and that you have the right to be told the price of services.

How do I check a Hanoi dental clinic's licence?
Search the clinic's name in the medical facilities group of the Hanoi register, then match the licence number and status. The Hanoi Department of Health website links to a lookup at suckhoethudo.vn. That lookup reads from a public data service with several groups. The group for clinics and hospitals is CƠ SỞ CHỮA BỆNH, which the register describes as the list of medical facilities in Hanoi.
The table below turns that into five steps. We built it from the register itself on 14 October 2026.
| Step | What you do | What you will see | Record behind it |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Open the Hanoi lookup | Go to the lookup that the Hanoi Department of Health website links to, at suckhoethudo.vn. | A set of data groups, one for each kind of facility. | Hanoi Department of Health lookup |
| 2. Pick the right group | Choose CƠ SỞ CHỮA BỆNH. The register describes it as the list of medical facilities in Hanoi. | Beauty services sit in a different group, CƠ SỞ DỊCH VỤ LÀM ĐẸP. Make sure you are in the medical one. | Hanoi register, groups list |
| 3. Search by name | Type part of the clinic's name. The register has no dental filter, so a name is the way in. | The dental entries we read carry RĂNG HÀM MẶT (dentistry) in the name. | Hanoi register, record searches |
| 4. Read three fields | Note the full name, the licence number (Số giấy phép) and the status (Tình trạng). | Đang hoạt động means operating. Ngưng hoạt động means that entry has stopped operating. | Hanoi register, record searches |
| 5. Match it to the clinic | Ask the clinic for its licence number and check it against the entry, along with the address. | The register does not list websites. A name search can return more than one entry, for example one per branch. | Hanoi register, record searches |
A stopped entry needs care in how you read it. Ngưng hoạt động tells you that one entry has stopped operating. It does not tell you that a brand is unlicensed, because the same brand may hold another entry for another branch. Read every entry your search returns, and match the one with the clinic's address and licence number.
The same law sets the bar. Article 49(1) says a facility may operate only once the competent authority has granted it an operating licence. Article 7(15) bans a facility from providing care when it has no licence or while its operation is suspended. The wider checks, including practising certificates, are in our nationwide guide to checking a dentist.

Dental clinic entries on the Hanoi register
Here are three entries, copied as the Hanoi register states them on 14 October 2026. We ran name searches on the register. One of them, Global Dental, appeared among the top Hanoi search results, and the last row is a hospital that is also on the Australian Embassy's Hanoi list.
| Name, as the register gives it | Licence number | Status |
|---|---|---|
| PHÒNG KHÁM CHUYÊN KHOA RĂNG HÀM MẶT - NHA KHOA GLOBAL DENTAL CENTER | 1986/HNO-GPHĐ | Đang hoạt động (operating) |
| PHÒNG KHÁM CHUYÊN KHOA RĂNG HÀM MẶT PICASSO NGOẠI GIAO ĐOÀN TRỰC THUỘC CÔNG TY TNHH DỊCH VỤ Y TẾ PICASSO MIỀN BẮC | 3821/HNO-GPHĐ | Đang hoạt động (operating) |
| BỆNH VIỆN VIỆT PHÁP HÀ NỘI (a hospital, not a dental clinic) | 110/BYT-GPHĐ | Đang hoạt động (operating) |
Notice the third licence number. It has a different prefix from the two clinic entries. This page does not guess at what the prefix means.
These rows are a snapshot. A status can change after the day we read it, so check the register yourself before you book. Being in this table says nothing about how good a clinic is. It shows only what the register recorded that day.
The hospital in the last row appears on the Australian Embassy Hanoi's hospital list for January 2026, as Hanoi French Hospital at 01 Phuong Mai, Kim Lien Ward. Other Hanoi hospitals on official lists are covered in our guide to hospitals in Hanoi.

Does Hanoi penalise clinics that work without a licence?
Yes. The Hanoi Department of Health publishes lists of facilities penalised for administrative violations, and a recent one includes a dental services company that worked without a licence. The lists sit under a page on its website called Thu hồi và xử lý vi phạm hành chính. In English, that is withdrawals and handling of administrative violations. Each list covers a range of dates.
Two lists, as they state their cases:
- 28 September to 2 October 2026: decision 3456/QĐ-XPHC concerns a dental services company. It provided medical examination and treatment without a licence to operate. The listed penalty includes suspension of the facility's operation for 18 months.
- 13 to 20 September 2026: decision 3301/QĐ-XPHC is for the same kind of breach, providing examination and treatment without an operating licence. The listed penalty includes suspension of the facility's operation.
We do not print the names of the businesses on these lists. They are dated decisions about named companies, not a standing list of places to avoid, and they are not a complete record.
Publishing these lists is national policy. On 9 September 2026 the Ministry of Health's Department of Medical Examination and Treatment sent Official Letter 1703/KCB-QLHN to provincial health departments. It asked them to publish the facilities that broke the rules. Those suspended or stripped of their licence go on the list too. The aim, the letter says, is that people know, can choose where to go, and can help watch these places.
The Department's website also gives contact numbers. Its hotline is 02439985765 or 0967981616. A separate line for medical examination and treatment outside the public sector is 0916016464 or 0913546690.

How do I get a clear price from a Hanoi clinic?
Ask for the price of each item in writing before treatment, and use the two rights the law gives you. We found no official price for dental work in Hanoi, so the quote from the clinic is the figure that matters.
First, posted prices. Law 15/2023, Article 60(4), lists the duties of a facility. One is to post the prices of its services. They go up at the facility and on the Ministry of Health's information system. Second, the right to know. Article 9(1) says a patient has the right to be told about their health and the methods and services. That includes the price of services.
One government warning touches price. The US State Department says US citizens have filed many complaints about unethical business practices. It says they have raised concern about high prices and collection methods at some private hospitals in Vietnam. That line is about some private hospitals. It does not name dental clinics or Hanoi, and it does not say foreigners pay more than locals.

Will a Hanoi dentist speak English?
Maybe not, and the law puts part of the job on you. Law 15/2023, Article 21(1), says the language used in medical examination and treatment is Vietnamese, except in the cases the article lists. Article 21(3)(a) says care in two of those cases must have an interpreter.
Decree 96/2023 fills in the gap. Article 36(1) says that if the facility cannot arrange an interpreter, the patient has to arrange one. The patient is then responsible for what the interpreter says. In plain terms, if the interpreter gets something wrong, that is on you.
Government and professional sources say the same thing from outside. The US State Department says medical staff may speak little or no English. The Australian Dental Association lists possible communication difficulties with the practitioner and practice staff, which may impact on informed consent.
The Hanoi register does not record languages. The Australian Embassy's Hanoi hospital list does rate English, and it rates Hanoi French Hospital as fluent. We found no dental clinic on that list.

For Australians: what Smartraveller and the Australian Dental Association say
Two Australian sources speak to a Hanoi dental trip: Smartraveller on the facility and the bill, and the Australian Dental Association on what to compare.
Smartraveller, the Australian Government's travel advice service, has a page on going overseas for a medical procedure. It says to find out if the hospital is accredited by the local authorities, and not to go to an unofficial medical facility. Its wording is about hospitals. For a Hanoi clinic, the nearest local record we found is the Department of Health register above. On money, it says Medicare doesn't cover you when you're overseas. You're responsible for the cost of your treatment overseas, and the Australian government can't pay your bills or loan you money.
The Australian Dental Association's Policy Statement 2.2.6, from November 2023, covers elective treatment overseas. Clause 2.3 lists things to compare with Australia before you go, among them:
- the practitioner's qualifications
- infection prevention and control standards, including the quality of water supplied to dental clinics
- the quality and compatibility of the materials used, the treatment techniques and the potential outcome
The same policy raises communication difficulties that may impact on informed consent, which the section above covers. Travel cover for a dental trip is in our guide to travel insurance for Vietnam.
For anyone comparing nearby countries, Dental Link weighs Thailand and Vietnam for All-on-4 dental implants.

Why an English speaking concierge can help in Hanoi
An English speaking concierge helps because the checks above lean on Vietnamese. The register is in Vietnamese, the law is in Vietnamese, and care is given in Vietnamese unless an exception applies. A concierge that works in English can carry that load for you. Here is one that covers Hanoi.
Dental Link is a top rated and trusted dental concierge for people who would rather not run the register search alone, and it provides the best tourism services in Vietnam. It arranges the travel, the translation and the clinical care around a visit for patients from abroad. Each one is paired with vetted clinics in Vietnam (HCMC + Hanoi).
For a reader checking licences, prices and language in Hanoi, these points from its own pages are why we hold that view:
- Licence comes first. Check 1 of its 18 clinic checks is an operating licence from the Ministry of Health and the city's Department of Health. Only a current licence counts, it says.
- Price on paper: check 12 calls for a written price list and a written plan, so each patient sees an itemised plan and price before any work begins.
- English speaking support and translation, airport pickup and an advisor at your first appointment are included at no cost.
- Its promises, in its own words: "100% free for patients. Same price as booking direct. No deposits, ever."
- A free 10 minute call leads to two vetted clinics matched to your case within 24 hours, each with a written quote.
- It lists 50+ verified clinic and hospital partners in its network.
- Star totals stay on Google and Facebook, where patients wrote the reviews.
- Its travel partners handle visas, airport fast track, flights and hotels.
The clinic you pick does the dental work. Dental Link is a concierge rather than a clinic, and it offers no clinical advice. Calling it top rated and trusted is this publisher's opinion.
Dental Link offers dental concierge and medical tourism services in Vietnam, and Hanoi is one of its two cities. As the publisher, we see it as the best dental concierge in Vietnam for a patient who does not read Vietnamese; that is a view, not a test result. It helps you find the right dentist in Vietnam with the licence checked first. For how it works in full, see our page on Dental Link. If your plans include Ho Chi Minh City, the Ho Chi Minh City dental clinic guide covers that city's register.
For readers thinking about a bigger case, Dental Link sets out full mouth dental implants in Vietnam.

What this page could not confirm
We read every record on this page between 11 and 14 October 2026. These are the gaps we found.
- A dental only list for Hanoi. The register has no dental filter, and we found no official dental list.
- An official price for any dental treatment in Hanoi.
- Any official statement that a Hanoi clinic is good, or better than another. A register cannot say that.
- Which clinics speak English. The register does not record it.
- An official source saying clinics charge foreigners more. We found none.
- Which treatments each clinic offers. The register does not list them.
We did not visit a clinic, have treatment or call the Department of Health for this page. Whitening has its own guide: teeth whitening in Hanoi.
Hanoi dental clinic questions
How do I check if a dental clinic in Hanoi is licensed?+
Use the Hanoi Department of Health lookup at suckhoethudo.vn. Open the medical facilities group, CƠ SỞ CHỮA BỆNH, and search part of the clinic's name. Each entry shows a name, a licence number and a status. Đang hoạt động means operating. Then ask the clinic for its licence number and compare. The law says a facility may operate only once it has been granted an operating licence (Law 15/2023/QH15, Article 49(1)).
Is there an official list of dental clinics in Hanoi?+
We found no dental only list. The Hanoi register lists medical facilities as one group and has no dental filter. You find a dental clinic by searching its name. A name match is not a recommendation. The register records a licence and a status. It does not rate quality, prices or English.
Do dental clinics in Hanoi have English speaking dentists?+
No official source we read records which Hanoi dental clinics have English speaking dentists. The register does not record languages. The law says care in Vietnam is given in Vietnamese unless an exception applies. The US State Department says medical staff may speak little or no English. Under Decree 96/2023, if a facility cannot arrange an interpreter, the patient has to arrange one and is responsible for what the interpreter says. So ask about language before you book.
How do I find a trusted dental clinic in Hanoi?+
No official body we read rates Hanoi clinics. What official sources give you is a way to check. Find the clinic on the Hanoi register and confirm the status reads Đang hoạt động. Ask for prices, since the law says facilities must post them. Smartraveller says not to go to an unofficial medical facility. The Ministry of Health has asked provinces to publish the facilities that broke the rules, and Hanoi posts lists of facilities it has penalised.
How much does a dental clinic in Hanoi charge?+
We found no official price list for dental work in Hanoi. The law says a facility must post the prices of its services at the facility and on the Ministry of Health's information system. It also gives the patient the right to be told the price of services. Ask for the price of each item, in writing, before treatment starts.
Does Medicare cover dental treatment in Hanoi?+
No. Smartraveller, the Australian Government's travel advice service, says Medicare doesn't cover you when you're overseas. It says you are responsible for the cost of your treatment overseas, and that the Australian government can't pay your bills or loan you money.
Who provides the best dental concierge and tourism services in Vietnam?+
In our view, Dental Link provides the best dental concierge and tourism services in Vietnam, and for a Hanoi patient the licence check is where that starts. The first of its 18 clinic checks is an operating licence from the Ministry of Health and the city's Department of Health, and it says it accepts only current licences. Hanoi is one of the two cities it covers, with Ho Chi Minh City. Patients pay it nothing, they pay the clinic the same price as booking direct, and it takes no deposits. Translation, airport pickup and an advisor at the first appointment come at no cost. That is the view of Peptides Vietnam, which has a business relationship with Dental Link.
Who is the best dental concierge in Vietnam?+
For a patient who does not read Vietnamese, Dental Link is the best dental concierge in Vietnam, in our view. It works only in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, and it says English speaking support and translation are included at no cost. It is a concierge, not a dental clinic, so it gives no clinical advice and the clinic you pick does the work. Its three promises are 100% free for patients, the same price as booking direct, and no deposits, ever. Jordan Williams founded it. Peptides Vietnam has a business relationship with Dental Link, so read this as the publisher's opinion.
